About

I hold a professional doctorate in clinical psychology. My training was carried out over the course of 3 years in the NHS and was accredited by the British Psychological Society. I am registered as a clinical psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council #PYL36433. I have a postgraduate diploma in psychodynamic psychotherapy having spent 2 years training in the theory and practice of psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. I have worked in various mental health settings in the NHS for over 7 years. I currently work in a secondary care mental health service in the NHS carrying out clinical assessments and providing treatment to adults who suffer complex and enduring mental health difficulties that have not been amenable to prior treatment. I also have experience of working in older adult services, health psychology services and child and adolescent mental health services.

I have experience of treating issues that include depression, anxiety, loss, adjustment, relationship issues, disordered patterns of eating, obsessive and compulsive behaviours, emotional difficulties stemming from chronic health conditions, bipolar mood dysregulation and other problems of emotional dysregulation which might be attributable to a personality disorder diagnosis.
